#Rebel
Rebecca is Dan's wife and currently works as the resident game-developer and artist at NerdCubed LTD.
Currently married to Daniel, their relationship name has been hotly debated. They were married on the 12th of November, 2016. A Strawpoll conducted on the Nerdcubed subreddit on the 12th of January, 2016 has shown a 3 to 1 ratio of the most popular Rebel and Decca names.
They both have stated to prefer Rebel.
Personality[]
Lovely, we assume. Of course, we have no idea. Talking helps. In fact, Rebecca is so quiet that a confirmation of existence would be lovely at some point.
During the 2015 E3 livestreams, Rebecca indicated to be a fan of anime series, similar to Dodger who also appeared on the stream.
In 2017, a series of "Lowkey" streams began, in which Rebecca became the unofficial reader and questioner for the twitch stream as well as declaring new subscribers and "Twiddley Bits". As a result Rebecca has become more vocal and involved in the community.
While normally quiet, Rebecca has a strong opinion about Left 4 Dead gnomes. This has included screaming at Daniel when the gnomes life is in danger, as seen in a 2021 video.
In 2023, Rebecca received their Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis, struggling especially with sensory issues. Their special interests are dogs, animals in general, and smartdolls, the latter of which they collect and love to sew clothes for. Dan has said he could get Rebecca started on talking on smartdolls, leave the room, and come back multiple hours later to Rebecca still enthusiastically talking about their smartdolls.
In November 2023, Rebecca launched their first ever original art store. They stated up front to be scared nothing would sell, only to then be massively surprised when almost all the 40+ artworks sold out within an hour [2] [3].
Trivia[]
- Rebecca owns far too few animals for their own good.
- Loves fan-art and fan-fiction, especially related to the NerdCubed Team.
- Thinks the Twitch chat is nice and therefore doesn't want to insult anyone in it. This makes Matt highly annoyed.
- During Dan's "Through the Minecraft Keyhole" his 'friend' on the server has a chest labelled 'Rebecca', making it their possible first appearance in a video. This is later confirmed in "Nerd³ Plays... Theme Hospital" where Dan tells everyone to say happy birthday to them, and in a livestream of Papers Please [4] in which Rebecca references working on the incomplete tower seen in the video.
- A twitter post on New Years 15-16 showed Rebecca and Dan kissing, which confirmed that they were dating.
- On the 5th of May 2016, a twitter post on Dan's twitter page stated that they are now engaged. On the 12th of November of the same year, they announced they were now married.
- Their favourite Doctor is Matt Smith as stated in a Nerd3 video[link needed].
- Due to their enjoyment and the community loving them on the streams, Rebecca now periodically hosts art streams from their own channel. The streams feature the best thing ever to have come to Twitch, a dog cam featuring their dogs, Regan and Matilda.
- Rebecca also mentioned on their 29th March stream that they hate Daniel's late night duck stories.
- Dan stated in a video on the 3rd of May 2018 that Rebecca has "a massive Toy Story collection"[5]
